  • How long will a water heater last?

It depends on many different factors such as water quality, amount of use, manufacturer. Typically 8-12 years. After that, consider calling us to perform a water heater replacement.

  • What is the warranty on a water heater?

Each manufacturer has a different warranty. When we meet, we will discuss the best option for your home or business.

  • How hot should my home’s water be?

Our recommendation is 120 degrees. Anything higher than that temperature could become dangerous for small children or elderly people.

  • Why do I run out of hot water?

It could be because of your water heater. The first thing we do is look at your water heating needs. Then we look to see if the water heater is working properly and delivering the water that it’s supposed to. If it is, it may just not be sized properly.

  • Why does it take so long to get hot water?

If the water heater is physically located a long distance away from the faucet, it’s going to take a long time to get there. There are solutions to this problem. It would probably save you money, in the long run, to install a recirculation system to keep hot water at the faucet.

  • Why is my electric bill so high?

An electric water heater will influence your electric bill, especially older units.  We offer high energy-efficient water heaters that will reduce your electric bill. Gas water heaters affect your electric bill at a minimum level.  You will have a gas bill.  We offer high-energy efficient gas water heaters.

  • Why do I have low water pressure in my home?

City-supplied water is impacted by the street pressure that’s being provided. If you have a well, it may not have much water, or you could have old or clogged pipes. Consider a booster pump or replacement of the pipe to remove the clogs.

  • Do I need a new toilet?

A few signs that it’s time to replace your toilet include:

    • Continuous clogs
    • Multiple flushes after each use
    • Age (toilets 10 years or older aren’t energy efficient)
    • Ongoing leaks
